Presentation through Peers: What Did I Learn?

After watching my fellow classmates present their campaigns for our third project, I think that the it's easy to say that the key term that was used the most throughout the duration of this project was the term circulation. Essentially every group concentrated on circulating their texts in some way or another -- whether it be through social media or through the use of an audience responding to the texts in some way (flyers, emails, etc.). The campaign was considered "successful" if the texts were circulated well and there were multiple responses to it.

There were multiple approaches to circulating the texts and ensuring their success. Many teams decided to go the social media route, which included either creating an Instagram account or a Facebook page for the organization they were involved with. Other groups decided to go with creating an infographic to inform their audiences about what exactly their organization stood for and what the organization strived to accomplish.

In regards to constraints, the main constraint that most teams encountered was being unable to fully allow time for circulation. I think that managing time was a constraint in this project due to the fact that we had to ensure that our texts were ready for circulation over Thanksgiving break. Due to the holiday, the texts may not have circulated as well because people are not on campus nor are they constantly checking social media because they were with their families.

After viewing presentations I can easily say that each team did a fantastic job with creating a campaign for an organization that needed help getting their name out in to the world. I think that this project taught every team member how to work collaboratively with a group of individuals and work together to achieve a goal. I personally would allow myself to have more time to design and circulate the texts my team decided to create. I think a better/well designed text would circulate more efficiently, and allowing time for this to happen would ensure that circulation.
